2011 Fair Schedule of Events
GATES OPEN DAILY AT 8:00 am
TUESDAY August 30th
8:00 am 4-H Horses MUST be on Fairgrounds
9:00 am 4-H Light Horse Divisions begin
(Grand Champion Showman from each Class eligible to compete for Top Showman)
WEDNESDAY August 31st
9:00 am 4-H Light Horse Divisions continue from previous day.
12:00 pm 4-H’ers are to complete the Trail Course when you are not participating in other classes.
11:00 am –7:00 pm Exhibit Hall opens for ALL Entries – 4-H and Open
Exhibitor Wristband Sales Begin in Fair Office in the Red Exhibit Barn $10.00 EACH. PLEASE BRING EXHIBITOR TICKETS.
3:00 pm Sign-up begins for Open Horse Performance Event and Open Horse Halter Classes in Horse Arena.
5:00 pm Open Horse Halter Classes – Light Horse and Draft Horse, to be followed by Open Horse Performance Events (classes located in Horse Arena).
7:00 pm All Booths – 4-H, Commercial, Political and Exhibit must be completed and registered. Pick up entry tags in Fair Office. .
THURSDAY Sept. 1st
Exhibit Hall and Quilt Pavilion (in Carousel Building) Closed. Buildings will be locked and off limits ALL DAY for Judging
9:00 am 4-H Light Horse : Division 17 – Groom Squad
12:00 pm Livestock, Dogs, Cats, Cavies, Companion Animals, Rabbits, and Poultry MUST be on Fairgrounds(4-H and Open) 4-H Livestock Market Animals Weigh-in.
2:00 pm 4-H Light Horse Judging Contest (Ferry County 4-H’ers to pick up judging cards at Horse Arena)
3:00 pm 4-H Livestock Judging Contest (Ferry County 4-H’ers to pick up judging cards at Livestock Arena)
4:00 pm 4-H Rabbit and Poultry Judging Contest (judging cards distributed at the time of the contest)
5:00 pm 4-H Dog Judging Contest (judging cards distributed at the time of the contest)
5:00–6:00 pm Afternoon Program Sign-up for Friday Arena Games (arena office behind announcer booth in Horse Arena)
FRIDAY – Kids Day at the Fair ! Youth to 17 years) admitted FREE for the day !Presented in Memory of George “Bim” Sandona
8:30 am Judging of 4-H and Open Classes Livestock begins (Beef, Goat, Llama, Sheep and Swine).
9:00–10:00 am Afternoon Program Sign-up for Friday Arena Games (arena office behind announcer booth)
9:30 am Judging of 4-H and Open Poultry and Rabbit Conformation
10:00 am Exhibit Hall & Quilt Pavilion opens to the Public.
Judging of 4-H and Open Cat, Cavy and Companion Animal
11:00- 4:00 pm Arena Program for Kids Day at the Fair Program Features: Kids Grand Entry, Contests, Races and other events for the Youth of our Area (All horse contestants must wear safety approved helmets and boots and sign an event waiver form prior to participation)
11:30 am 4-H Small Animal Showmanship (Cat, Cavy, Companion Animal, Poultry and Rabbit)
3:00 pm 4-H and Open Dog Agility
4:30 pm 4-H Demonstrations and Public Speaking on the main stage in food court area- Features Top Ferry County 4-H Winners
4-H Fashion Revue (Ferry County 4-H’ers to model project garments constructed and awards will be presented).
4-H Performing Arts Show - on main stage in food court area Features Top Ferry County 4-H Winners
6:00 pm Senior Pony Express – 1 st Heat
